Garmin recently posted firmware revision 2.50 for the eMap. Multiple location formats (including user UTM grid) Multiple map datums (including user) Multiple north references (True, Magnetic, Grid, and User) Multiple direction formats (Cardinal Letters and Numeric Degrees) Multiple routes (1000 map points and 500 user waypoints in up to 50 routes with up to 50 points each). NOTE: THE CURRENT ROUTE IN THE EMAP WILL BE DELETED! To save the current route, transfer the route to a PC before performing the upgrade, then transfer back to the emap after performing the upgrade. Garmin also posted a firmware revision for the GPSMAP 295. Increased visibility of the CDI scale on the HSI by reducing the width of the pointer and airplane; ETE times less then 1 hour are displayed with the seconds smaller than the minutes to visually differentiate between hours:minutes (HH:MM) and minutes:seconds (MM:ss); While using the map pointer on the MAP page or HSI page the user can press the nearest key to find POI's, EXIT's and CITY's nearest to map pointer; Added bearing and distance to spell-n-find list for POI's and CITY's; Display duplicate aviation ids on the aviation tab page; Battery change will reset the battery timer; Added "Aviation In" data mode; Corrected "TRACK" value on active route page; and Corrected "VNAV PROFILE" field arrow direction on vnav tab page. |
