MAC computers and GPS

Question:  I have a MAC computer and want to use it with my new GPS to upload/download routes, waypoints and tracks.  I also want to use it to be able to load firmware updates into the GPS.  How do I go about this.

Answer:  Generally,  the MAC in OEM form is not compatible with the IBM PC compatible Windows programs in which most GPS software is written.  A PC emulator will have to be used.

Below are links to procedures and software that MAY work with your MAC to enable it to talk with your GPS.  Note that not 100% of MAC owners have been successful in this interface of GPS to MACs.   Joe and Jack do not own a MAC and can provide no assistance in getting your system to operate.
