Garmin has posted MapSource 4.00 beta. Changes made from version 3.06 to 4.00 beta: Added default directory preference for opening and saving files to a user-defined directory. Added ability to rearrange column order on left-pane windows by dragging and dropping the columns. Column order and width are now remembered each time MapSource is launched. Move waypoint icon into its own column to allow sorting by icon. Modified estimated size at bottom of maps tab to be independent of target memory device. Removed trailing ".0" from metric zoom scales greater than 1000m. Allow spaces to be typed in by user while entering a new unlock code (these spaces are ignored by MapSource). |

Garmin has posted MapSource 3.06. Changes made from version 3.05 to 3.06: Fixed an interface problem between the eMap and MapSource when using certain laptop computers. Changed "Danger Area" symbol to be a diamond in a square. Added finer zoom scale settings. Fixed problem with User Datum handling of Delta X, Y, and Z values. Added DXF export feature. Added enforcement of Navtech contractual limit of 32MB data size for certain data sets. When errors occur, they are logged to a file in user's temporary directory called MapSource.log. Corrected parameters for Hu-Tzu-Shan datum. Added support for products with Unlock Codes. Added feature to synchronize PC clock from the GPS. Added map drawing support for new Fishing Hotspots product. Changed City Finder to a general feature finder to support new products with a general feature index. Communication settings dialog was added and can now be accessed from the preferences or any time a serial operation is needed. Show map size in MB units if the size greater than or equal to 1000KB. Garmin has posted GPSMAP 295 software version 2.11 beta. Changes made from version 2.10 to 2.11 beta: Correct course display on active / plan route page. Correct map operation when a large number of "TOPO" maps are loaded on datacard. Correct map operation when using "World Map" data. Changed auto range threshold for altitude display when "Meters" is the selected units. ( From 1000mt to 10000mt ). |
